SADDLE CARE & REPAIRS
Cleaning Your Saddle:
-
Add a small amount of Dawn dish soap to the bottom of a bucket, then fill the bucket with water.
 -
Use a small, soft-bristled brush (like a horse face brush). Dip it into the soapy water and begin gently scrubbing the saddle.
 -
Scrub the entire saddle, but do not scrub a suede padded seat. As you work, you’ll notice the soap suds getting dirty and the grime starting to lift.
 -
Rinse the saddle thoroughly with a hose until the water runs clear.
 -
Place the saddle in the sun to dry. If needed, refresh the rough out with a wire brush or sandpaper block once it’s completely dry.
 -
When fully dry, apply the oil of your choice—olive oil, peanut oil, or saddle oil such as Neatsfoot. Keep in mind that Neatsfoot oil will darken your saddle. Never oil a padded suede seat. Allow the saddle to dry for 12–24 hours, depending on humidity.
Pro Tip: We offer in-house saddle cleaning starting at $150. You’ll be responsible for shipping both ways. Cleanings take about one week so the saddle has adequate time to be cleaned and dried.

Detailed description of the repairs needed
Once your saddle arrives, our team will inspect it and check for any additional repairs that may be needed. Within 5–7 business days, you’ll receive an email estimate for the work. Please check your inbox regularly—you’ll have 48 hours to approve the estimate.
After you approve, you’ll be responsible for the repair costs (unless your saddle is covered under our 1-year leather warranty or 5-year tree warranty). For details, visit our FAQ page.
Note on Leather Color Matching: New leather will not perfectly match the color of aged leather. We can’t guarantee an exact color match for repairs or new fenders. To help blend the color, clean and oil your saddle after repairs.
